About me
My name is Ria and I am the creator and owner of Mis Mundos jewelry. I was born and raised in Greece in a home full of art and craft.
Growing up I moved to England where I completed my BA (Hons) in Business Studies and then I continued traveling to other countries, which led me to a totally different professional path than my studies.
During that time I learned more about gemstones, their symbolism, uses and properties. Initially I used them during meditation and then I was taught how to incorporate them into jewelry. That’s how the art of silversmithing became a passion.
Through my studies I learned how to make this passion into a business and share it with people from all over the world and through traveling I learned the importance of working on something I truly love.
In 2012 I created Mis Mundos, which means “my worlds” and started working internationally with thousands of wonderful customers. Since then my pieces are exclusively custom made, so each piece is made to order for each customer and that is what makes it unique.
I work in my studio in Piraeus, the port city of Athens, where I create jewelry and work with sterling silver, gold, ethical diamonds and gemstones. These are all in their natural form, so that each piece has an organic feel and a raw, natural look. Above everything I make sure my jewelry is sustainable. I’m a fan of traditional silversmithing techniques and while working I use mostly hand tools and no chemicals. Also all the diamonds I have in my shop are conflict free and sourced from reliable sources which comply with the Kimberley Process Certification.
The botanical parts of jewelry are made of real twigs and leaves that I collect from my mother’s garden and then I cast them into sterling silver by using the ancient Lost Wax technique. My aim is to make pieces that are comfortable to wear, have a natural character and are meant to be combined and layered, for creating a more personal look.
Each piece is handmade with extra care for each customer and this makes it unique for its owner. So feel free to contact me in case you would like a specific band from my shop with a different stone, a different earrings length, a ring into earrings or any other customization.
